02 — Data We Collect
We only collect the personal data you voluntarily provide — for example, your name and email address when you use the contact form, subscribe to updates, or become a Patron. We also collect limited technical data (such as the pages you visit and aggregate usage statistics) to help us improve the website. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising.
03 — How We Use Your Data
Your data is used to respond to your enquiries, to keep you informed about our conservation work when you have asked us to, and to manage patron relationships. We never sell or rent your personal data to third parties.
04 — Legal Basis
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, to take steps at your request before entering into a patron agreement, and to pursue our legitimate interests as a conservation organisation. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting geral@viridia.pt.
05 — Retention
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described above, or as required by applicable accounting and tax law. After that, it is deleted or anonymised.
06 — Your Rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, port, and restrict the processing of your personal data, as well as the right to object to its processing and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact geral@viridia.pt. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD).

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. Access is restricted to authorised personnel who need it to carry out their roles.
